Raby Gardens Eggs

Today I had to go down to the wedding venue we are marketing in Willaston to do a show around. The grounds at Raby Gardens really are in a wonderfully tranquil setting and it’s always a pleasure to visit. The land owners have some farm animals that I’m quite used to seeing which is always a lot of fun. It’s just a great peaceful place to be.

Wirral Gourmet has moved!

We’ve been incredibly busy behind the scenes over the last few weeks and we’re now up and running in our new premises which gives over 1000 square feet of kitchen space to produce even more of our amazing food and also a separate office for our growing team which also serves as a comfortable meeting room where we can meet with customers to discuss the catering for their event.

We’ve not moved far though – we’ve stayed in Bromborough, on the Croft Business Park so that we’re still just as local for our customers.  So from Unit 24, we’re now residing at Unit 19, Croft Business Park, Bromborough, Wirral, CH62 3RA.

The move into larger kitchens will enable us to accommodate larger events and is a better space to provide tasting sessions for our wedding couples.

If you have an event coming up and would like to discuss the wide range of options that Wirral Gourmet can provide for you, please call us on 0151 378 1181 or email us at enquiries@wirralgourmet.com.

Marquee wedding venue Willaston, Wirral

We’ve got some really exciting news – we’ve recently been granted exclusive access to a beautiful area of land in Willaston which is perfect for a marquee event, wedding, corporate event or private party.  We’re partnering with a local wedding marquee company – Got it covered – who provide an outstanding service and a wide variety of options for the space available.

brussels-sprouts-seasonal-produce-february

When talking in terms of seasonal produce, it’s easy forget that at even at this time of the year, there are some interesting things peaking in seasonality. Normally by now we have all had enough of Brussels sprouts due to their strong association with Christmas, yet it’s now when they hit the peak of their season. I admit, they are a fairly divisive vegetable with most people either loving or hating them: the haters are usually scarred from childhood memories of horribly overcooked sprouts. I admit for years I was one of those (sorry, Mum) but when prepared with a little care they can be quite satisfying. I like them sauteed in a good butter with perhaps a sprinkling of toasted sesame seeds. I also recently enjoyed them fried in a little goose fat with some pancetta lardons. Or how about a good bubble and squeak with the Sunday lunch leftover sprouts?

Custom Catering

Sometimes people have a firm idea of what type of thing they are looking for when they contact us. Having some friends over for a dinner party? Well then, you’re probably thinking along the lines of a 3 or 5 course private chef menu. Family Christening? Some sort of finger buffet would probably be appropriate.

What if you’re planning an event like a wedding and are looking to create something a bit different? We’ve spoken to a few people lately looking for a little inspiration to make their occasion a little more special. We love hearing from these sort of people as that’s where we can get a bit creative with some customised catering ideas.
